Full Blown Metals : Working with Stephen Newby to produce 35 Gold plated Bees for the House of Guerlain in Paris. Guerlain is a French Perfume House, among the oldest in the world.
The bee has been the symbol of the house since its founder Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain created perfumes for Empress Eugenie Montijo, the wife of Napoleon III. The coat of arms of the Second French Empire showed the bees motives.
These steel Bees were inflated, polished and plated by hand to create 35 completely unique objects that now hang in the reception area of the House of Guerlain.
